Content. Our plain-English summaries, calculators, and text are our own work. Code and standard names belong to their respective publishers; we cite them for reference and do not reproduce copyrighted code text.

Acceptable use. You may use the site for any lawful personal or professional purpose, including in your own work and estimates. You may not scrape, bulk-copy or republish the site's content or tools as your own, attempt to disrupt or overload the service, or use the site to misrepresent calculated results as professional certification.

Accuracy and updates. We work to keep formulas, reference values and code citations current, and each page shows when it was last reviewed. Codes are adopted and amended locally, however, so a value can change in your jurisdiction before it changes here. Verifying a result against the rules in force where you work is always your responsibility.
